20 Movie Trailers That Are Better Than the Movie Itself
A movie trailer is art, although not everyone who creates a trailer is an artist. The best ones will tell us the story of the movie we have to watch to tell us exactly why we should spend our precious dollars for the movie and run off to the theater for a couple of hours (and / or throw $ 30 at Disney + for the evening).
To create a great movie, you can simply compose some of the most impressive film frames with a catchy version of a popular song chasing after them and, voila, baud in the seats. A film that is not destined to be an instant classic, however, may require a little more artistry. Sometimes it’s a matter of finding a vantage point from which the film really works and leaning heavily towards it. And sometimes this includes blatant deception into the assumption that the film will be something completely different from what it really is.
Here are some really great trailers from problematic, deeply distinctive, niche, or just plain bad movies.
