Use This Free App to Create a General Travel Journal With Minimal Effort
When you finally hit your long-awaited (and probably previously canceled) vacation, you may be faced with a mystery. On the one hand, you want to document your trip – both for yourself and so that your friends and family can see and enjoy the trip.
But on the other hand, while keeping a travel or blogging journal seems like a good idea before you arrive at your destination when you are actually there at the moment, no part of you wants to stop to jot down people’s names. , places and sights you just encountered. Now there is a new app that does most of this work for you. Here’s what you need to know.
How to make a travel journal using the app
The app is called Hoptale and uses photo metadata to get destination information and create a travel journal. In addition to photographs and facts, you can document other aspects of your trip, including maps of the places you visited and your itinerary – which the company claims can be done in just 10 minutes.
Hoptale was designed to be used in three different ways:
- Create a travel journal with minimal effort. This is the part described above that uses metadata from your photos to sketch out the main components of a travel log (city names, attractions you’ve visited, etc.), leaving that up to you. to add your details and comments.
- Sharing your travel diary and itinerary Not only will you have the opportunity to publicly share your trip (like in a traditional travel blog), but you can also send a link to your journal to friends and family so that they can see your photos and what you were doing.
- Using it as a Trip Planning Tool When you’re ready to plan your next trip, you can check the app’s Overview feed to find amazing trips others have taken and get real, user-generated photos and itineraries.
The app is free to download and use, and according to a Hoptale spokesperson, “There are currently no plans to charge users to use the fully functional app.”
