How to Hide Your Delicate Photos in Google Photos

If for some reason you have taken photos on your phone that you would not like to see anyone , you may want to use some kind of privacy feature. While there are third-party apps that can hide your intimate photos, Google recently announced a new feature to block your private images directly from Google Photos.

To use the new locked folder in Google Photos (which, according to the ad, is for ID and passport photos … of course), open the Google Photos app and click on Library in the lower right corner and then Utilities. … »Scroll down to Locked Folder and use your fingerprint.

Now you can set up saving new photos directly to the locked folder ( which can only be opened by you with the specified fingerprint ID) or manually place old photos there. Just remember that the locked folder is only available on your device, not in the cloud. This is for security purposes, because you don’t want your cloud to be compromised, and with it your personal photos. By storing these confidential images locally, it ensures that only your fingerprint can access it.

But again, what kind of photos would anyone want to hide? I have no idea. But just in case, it’s good to know that this feature exists.
