12 Scientific and Historical Facts That Have Changed Since You Started School
In an era of disinformation and misinformation, we are (hopefully) all getting a little better at fact-checking – or at least not automatically believing in everything we read or hear on the Internet. But there are some fundamental truths we were taught as children that turned out to be never true. Or once they seemed to be true, but now we have more information and fresh facts that demote them to the status of “myths”.
From the earth itself and the water of the Earth to planetary bodies and some supposedly basic history that we memorize incorrectly, here are a few things that it is time to retrain. (I hope it stays that way this time.)
