How to Sort Reminders on IOS so You Actually Finish Them

You can look at your sprawling list for dos in the iOS Reminders app and think, “That’s a lot.” And while Apple’s updates to Reminders in iOS 14.5 may not help you complete them faster, they certainly do help organize them. And that’s the first step to completing any titanic to-do list, right?

As part of iOS 14.5 that you can and should upgrade to if you haven’t already, the Reminders app has several useful new features that aren’t gigantic in scope, but are adjustments that you’ll definitely want to integrate into your app. is a lifestyle made.

The biggest feature is the updated sorting tool, which you can use to organize reminders of any list in four different ways:

  • Term
  • date of creation
  • Priority
  • Heading

In each of them, you can individually select your earliest or most recent tasks first. And, as always, you can also revert to manual sorting at any time, which will return your list to the way it was before you started tinkering with it. (Sorting isn’t a constant reordering of reminders, thankfully if you just want to play around a bit before choosing an option.)

You will find the sorting tool in the upper right corner of the reminder lists. Tap the three dots icon, tap Sort By, and start organizing.

If you are feeling even more adventurous or need a dead tree version of your reminder list lying on your desk so you never forget anything you put off, you can now also print any list you create in Reminder App. … Note that this only works with lists you create yourself — everything under the My Lists heading at the bottom of the app — and not general Apple lists such as Today and Scheduled.

Tap one of your lists, tap the three dots icon in the upper right corner, and tap the new Print icon to send your cases to a networked printer. You can never ignore them, right?
