Just last week, Warner Bros. A second attempt at turning the Mortal Kombat video game series into a film franchise has hit theaters and on HBO Max – 25 years old, two films and a TV series later. A few weeks ago, the same studio released Godzilla vs. Kong (not to be confused with King Kong vs. Godzilla from 1962), bringing together two long-lived giant monsters for a small brawl franchise.
