How to Reach Trophy Rank 999 Faster on PS4 and PS5
Looking to boost your PlayStation Prize Ranks and prove your gaming prowess? Then you need to collect platinum trophies. Platinum Trophies are a badge of honor for many players, meaning that you have completed all the challenges the game has to offer.
They also increase your PlayStation Network Trophy rating higher than just Bronze, Silver, or Gold trophies. And following a major overhaul of Sony’s trophy system last year, they are more valuable than ever, but just as difficult to obtain.
How to earn platinum trophies
Players can easily collect bronze and silver trophies simply by playing the game in an easy way. Gold Trophies take extra effort, from mastering the multiplayer modes to completing bonus challenges and completing all side content in the game – sometimes multiple times in a row.
However, platinum trophies are only awarded after you unlock all other trophies in the game. Given that many modern games have huge, content-filled worlds that can be explored for tens – or hundreds – of hours, earning a platinum trophy takes a lot more work than just winning the single player campaign.
But there are exceptions.
The easiest platinum prizes for PS4 and PS5
As many trophy hungry players have discovered, there are many games that can be played Platinum in 10-15 hours, and just as many that take much less time. You can grab a bunch of small games on the PlayStation Network and earn five or six new Platinum Trophies in the same amount of hours. The catch is that some of these games are of dubious quality, so to speak.
However, if you are competitively keen to reach Rank 999 no matter the cost, there are plenty of simple platinum to take advantage of. Cultured Vultures’ list of the 50 Easiest Platinum PS4 Trophies is a great place to start; most of the games on the list can be transferred to Platinumed in less than 10 hours (some in as little as 60 minutes or less). Even the few that make it past the 10 o’clock mark should be easy to get through. These simple hits include:
- Dark Fandango
- Goat Simulator
- Life is a strange thing
- Most of Telltale’s narrative games
- Day of the Tentacle Remastered (yes!)
- Chickens on the road (?)
