How to Easily Manage All Your IOS and Android Subscriptions
In these difficult times, there is no such double-edged sword as “automatic renewal.” While it seems so convenient to automatically charge a monthly or yearly subscription without thinking about it, we often all subscribe to too many free trials and automatic payments to track reliably.
Luckily, both iOS and Android have built-in systems that keep track of when your pesky subscriptions are updated (I’m looking at you Squarespace!), So there are no surprise fees anymore.
On your iPhone, go to Settings , Apple ID , then Subscriptions . While you’re there, make sure you enable renewal receipts so that you receive an email when your subscription is about to renew. On Android, go to the Billing & Subscriptions section of your Google account. Then click Play Store , Hamburger icon and Subscriptions . (Fun fact: I just found out that the hamburger icon doesn’t look like a real hamburger.) Now you can at least track what subscriptions you have and see when they renew, so you can cancel them if you want. …
