You play with a hand of four cards representing the abilities you are currently using. New cards are randomly drawn from the deck to replace those played by you.
Unlike the MTG card game, the cards played are not “discarded” but instead returned to your deck so that they can be drawn again later. This way, you will never run out of actions in combat, but the specific actions available always change.
Players can also customize their decks just like in a board game. Legends starts you off with ready-made decks based on the classic MTG colors – red, blue, green, white, black, and even multicolored decks – but you earn new cards and equipment as you play (or buy in-game card packs) that can be swapped out. in places to create new combos, summon stronger enemies or cast more advanced spells.
