Our Top Tips for Cleaning Your Refrigerator
You’ve probably cooked a lot more in the past few months, resulting in more crumbs, stains, and mysterious vegetable nuggets at the bottom of your fresh vegetable drawer. So, here are some of our top tips for cleaning your refrigerator and more importantly keeping it clean.
Remove everything from the refrigerator, including drawers and shelves before cleaning. You will need to act quickly to get perishable food there (and from the dangerous temperature zone) as soon as possible. Clean the drawers and shelves in the sink with a sponge and dish soap and dry thoroughly before returning to their places.
If something gets stuck inside the refrigerator, warm it up with a cloth dampened in hot water. Use this as a hot compress to remove dirt and then wipe off. For more permanent discoloration, use a melamine foam sponge (also known as Magic Eraser).
Now we want to prevent future riots. Line the shelves with Press’ N Seal, which you can remove and replace if spilled, and store inverted seasoning bottles in an empty egg carton on the door to catch any leaks.
