Give Your Whipped Cream a Sophisticated Look With Cocktail Bitters
Whipped cream is the final fluffy touch to many desserts and drinks, and for good reason. It tastes good (like cream), looks good (like a cloud), and is always a pleasure.
Historically, I’ve been a proponent of whipped cream – I rarely sweeten them, mostly because they’re meant for something pretty sweet, like pie or pie. (The exception to this my rules are fresh berries without sugar Fresh berries without sugar with. Whipped cream or whipped cream -. It’s delicious) But even if you are not used to sweeten whipped cream cream, it does not mean that you can not flavored whipped cream, you should add a cocktail bitter to them.
As you probably know, bitterness is nothing more than extracts with a strong aroma, very similar to vanilla or any other extract. Think of them as a liquid spice rack. You only need a few drops per cup of unwhipped cream (maximum four), so you don’t have to worry about excess liquid affecting the integrity of the whipped dairy products.
In terms of flavor, adding bitter to your cream won’t make it taste strong for anything else, but it will make it taste better, more subtle, and more sophisticated. Plain Angostura will work for you, but I think orange bitters would be especially good and could be a good use for any “artisanal” flavored bitter set you received when exchanging work gifts.
If after beating you feel that the finished product is not flavorful enough, you can always add a couple more strokes and fold them neatly. If you do, be mistaken towards under-inclusion rather than over-inclusion. Avoid sipping cream out of artfully whipped cream, as a few dark pink stripes will look pretty pretty anyway.
