What Did You Really Like About Training at Home?

Home workouts are fraught with difficulties: improvising equipment , creating a routine , planning an uncertain future , trying not to get bored , searching the Internet for these elusive weights . But there are pluses, right?

Some of us have learned a new skill or training style. I have friends who were really good at kettlebell exercises because the kettlebell was the only piece of equipment they had. I bet some of you went all-in for yoga or rhythmic gymnastics and improved your skills there.

Maybe you now have encyclopedic knowledge of something like the best vintage workouts on YouTube . Or maybe you’ve developed a habit, like becoming one of those morning exercises that you used to admire.

As for me, I enjoyed doing sports when I wanted to, and I didn’t waste time on trips to the gym. I also love that I found a way to have fun with my husband at the gym. We don’t usually train together , but now that Saturday is our common deadlift day, I look forward to them all week. Children have also started to participate in training, and it is good to see how they set big goals for them, work on them and achieve success.

Workouts at home even helped me achieve my long-term goals. The lack of competition actually gave me more time to practice: instead of spending weeks on a peak before a competition (which someone else planned) and then not rushing to recover from it, I can devote myself to a 10 week or 12 -week competition. weekly workout plan and follow through. My training has been more consistent than ever before, and I know it will pay off in the future, although it’s not very exciting right now.

So, I would like to know: what have you gotten or even gotten from home workouts? What was more fun than you expected? What would you miss if you had to stop? How did you grow as an athlete or as a person? Whether you’ve only done home workouts this spring for a short time, or you’ve built a home gym and dedicated yourself to solo workouts in the long run, share your successes and secrets with the rest of us.
