While there is still a long way to go towards wider representation in mainstream media, there are still great tales – both old and new – that tell holiday stories involving people of color. Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey combines an ingenious toy maker with a black girl’s magic adventure; the soulful holiday comedy Nothing Like the Holidays is entirely dedicated to the Latin American cast; and Lifetime released their first Asian American-directed Christmas film, the romantic comedy Sugar and Spice Festival . Along with favorites like Best Man’s Celebration , here are a few more films making room for people of color in holiday films.
