Need a Warm Smoothie?
I never really drank smoothies. It’s just not my mood. I do not like to drink my fruits (unless they are mixed with a cocktail); I love eating my fruits and I love drinking Diet Coke (and cocktails). All of this suggests that I may not be the target audience for Tasty Warm Smoothies , although to be honest, I’m not sure if the audience is also a cold smoothie lover.
Not only do I don’t understand who will like warm smoothies, but I don’t understand what it is. Haven’t the makers of these warm, viscous mixtures heard of soup? Maybe all they lack in life is a good biscuit cookie.
Tasty has four different warm smoothie recipes, and Joel didn’t want to try any of them. However, I would not let him give up the flavor test because the content has to flow. But I let him choose the flavor.
Joel opted for a sweet potato smoothie that (attention, spoiler) didn’t taste like gingerbread. It tasted like an unflavored, raw pie filling. I did not like it. He needs more sugar, more salt; it had to be mixed with eggs, poured into a pie shell and baked until firm.
It also required a whole small sweet potato — a sweet potato that I would have enjoyed a lot more if I had eaten it mashed with butter and salt. There was no need for sweet potatoes.
Have you ever tried a warm smoothie? Did you know that such a thing exists? Did you know that there are actually many recipes for warm smoothies? Too many, I think. (Because they suck. They suck really bad.)
