Install These Unreleased OxygenOS 11 Wallpapers on Almost Any Android Device
OnePlus “OxygenOS” is a modified version of the Android operating system exclusive to OnePlus smartphones, offering unique features and capabilities that differ from, say, Samsung devices or phones running the standard Android operating system. For example, the upcoming OxygenOS 11 update and the heavily leaked OnePlus 8T contain unique animated wallpapers that you won’t find anywhere else.
At least that is the intention. Luckily for those of us without OnePlus devices, a user on the XDA developer forums known as “Linuxct” has pulled out a new live wallpaper that should be unique to the OxygenOS 11 and OnePlus 8T. They can now be installed on select non-OnePlus Android devices – OxygenOS is optional.
There are 3 wallpapers available in Linuxct app. Each has a unique color scheme with multi-layered inkblots that transform when you unlock your device or swipe between different windows. There are also options for light and dark mode.
You can check them all on the Twitter Linuxct thread below.
Unfortunately Samsung and Mediatek devices cannot use live wallpapers. Likewise, some older devices may not display animation as smoothly as intended, or may not display at all. But those with a supported device can try the unreleased OxygenOS 11 wallpapers by following these steps:
How to Import and Use the OnePlus 8T Live Wallpaper on a Non-Oxygen OS Device
- Download the Oxygen OS11 LWP APK file from the original Linuxct XDA forum post .
- Install the APK (allow installation from unknown sources if required).
- Then go to the wallpaper selection menu of your device. You can also set Google Wallpapers if your Android device does not allow manual wallpaper selection.
- Select the wallpaper you want to use. That’s all! Swipe your finger across the screen to see live wallpaper effects.
