Try One of These Healthy Habits Every Day This Month.
As we hinted last week, our October challenge is a comprehensive health reset to help you get all the basics of your health back to normal. Today we are sharing a calendar with something small that you can do every day for the next four weeks.
Remember, this is not a diet, a harsh training regimen, or increasing demands on your time. This is an opportunity to return to different areas of your life and ask if you are supporting yourself in a healthy way.
You’ve already done the first thing on the calendar, which is making a list of necessary visits and preventive care, as we discussed a few days ago. (If you are just joining us, feel free to join us anytime.) Every weekend we have another more detailed assignment for you, but in the meantime, enjoy these little health reminders:
We’re even making it easy on you by posting this on the second day of the week, which means you can skip those wall seating if you want. (Being light on yourself is very much in line with this month’s theme, okay?) Today: Give yourself a gift in the future by setting a reminder before bed . Meditate for a few minutes tomorrow.
Think of your daily activities as a free pattern of healthy habits. Maybe you hate meditation. This is fine; move on to the next one. But maybe you’re thinking, why don’t I find a way to do it every day? By the end of the month, you will have tried twenty different things, and in any case, you will learn a thing or two about yourself.
