How to Receive SMS Text Messages on All Your Apple Devices
If you have an iPhone, then you know all the joys of iMessage. We love iMessage so much, we talked about how its features completely supplant other messaging platforms .
When you’re signed in with your Apple ID, it’s very easy to switch between iMessage on your iPhone, iPad, iMac, and Apple Watch. The tricky part comes when you are texting someone who doesn’t use iMessage themselves.
In today’s Quick Fix, we’re solving the problem of how to get your SMS messages (denoted by bright green text bubbles as opposed to the elegant blue of iMessage) being sent from your iPhone to display on your desktop. Just open Settings and scroll down to Messages. Click on “Forwarding Text Messages” and select which devices you want to receive your SMS messages. You can now turn on your desktop, Apple Watch, or any other Apple device that was previously excluded from contacting your non-iMessaging friends.
