The Best Ways to Clean Every Part of Your Oven
It’s time to get rid of the accumulated dirt and burnt grease in the oven. You are at home more often, so you have extra time to clean it properly. And because you cook every meal at home, you can save more on energy without burning up excess fat.
If you have a self-cleaning oven, most of the work has already been done for you. The self-cleaning cycle will lock the oven door and heat it to the highest possible temperature for several hours, burning everything inside. After that, let it cool down and wipe off any burnt pieces with a damp cloth.
If you don’t have a self-cleaning oven, you can get the same effect by placing a cup or bowl of ammonia in the oven, closing the door and letting it sit for 4-5 hours. Ammonia vapors release large amounts of cooked waste onto the walls and ceiling of the oven. Then, using rubber gloves, dilute the ammonia in water and wipe the inside of the oven with the resulting solution.
As for the oven door, we have some ingenious tricks to try there too, all of which you can find in the video above.
