8 Magazines That Kids Will Love
Of course, printing is slowly dying , but print magazines are still one of the best things a person can find in a mailbox, and this is especially true for kids (and for parents looking for any way to limit screen viewing time).
If I had to place a bet, I would assume that the first magazine I ever subscribed to was Highlights, a checkered collection of short fiction, games, informative articles – and who could forget Goofus and Gallant, whose, by all accounts confession, nasal names taught us moral lessons, and not to be a complete jerk (example from Wikipedia : “A fool leads his friends. Galant asks:” What do you want to do next? “”). I can think of some adults who could learn this lesson. .)
While you can still subscribe to Highlights, most of my other favorite kid-friendly rags are long gone: Barbie Magazine, Disney Adventures, Teen People, YM, Teen, Seventeen (although it still survives on the internet ).
Here are a few of our favorite magazines to keep your child entertained, both in the midst of quarantine and after he can finally return to his usual scheduled activities (fingers crossed).
