Chill the Cereal Bowl in the Refrigerator Overnight.
To be honest, I have a hard time trusting people who claim they don’t like breakfast cereals. This is one of those foods that was designed to get people to eat it – it’s basically human food! – and those who insist that the science of flavoring doesn’t touch them are really very suspicious of me.
But there are people who love to eat cereals. I like to call them “my people”. These people don’t mindlessly put cereal in their mouth – oh no – they do it thoughtfully , always looking for ways to improve their cereal-eating experience. Longtime Skillet commentator Ag Obair is that kind of person and they’ve changed my cereal game for the better:

The portion of quinoa in this commentary is good, but the portion of cereal really tells me what I’m about to do. (I could never claim I was doing quinoa; no one would believe that.) Putting a bowl of cereal in the refrigerator is just common sense. Ice-cold cereal milk is always preferable to cold cereal milk and you will need all the help you can get on hot days. For sweet cereals (the best kind of cereal), the cold accentuates the dessert aspect of the dish, adding a little treat to your morning.
To be honest, I don’t understand why we should settle for cereal bowls. Throw in a spoon too. Place ice cream bowls in the freezer. Chill a glass of iced coffee overnight. Serve these salad bowls cold, cold, cold. (I’m never impressed with a cold plate of salad.) Put everything in the damn freezer. It’s very hot outside.
