Clean a Dirty Microwave With Lemon
We are very active in home improvement, as is usually the case when you are stuck inside the house for months. Last week we looked into whether the oven can be cleaned with lemon (spoiler: not allowed), but today we are cleaning the scientific oven, also known as the microwave! Will lemon work this time?
Will! In fact, using lemon to clean the microwave has long been an outdated option. Simply cut the lemon in half, squeeze the juice into ½ cup of water, add the lemon halves and microwave for three minutes. Then let it brew for five minutes and wipe down the machine. The steam will loosen the dried mud and leave a fresh scent from the lemon.
However, we do not stop there! You can repeat this method, but instead of a microwave-safe cup, you can place lemon and water directly on top of a stack of paper towels. After a three-minute nuclear attack, simply wipe everything down with paper towels so you don’t have to clean your cup or reusable napkin.
If the rubbish still won’t budge, scrape it off with an old credit card or magic eraser (common name: melamine foam).
