Daniel Tiger Will Soon Help Kids Deal With the Pandemic
Young children were able to turn to many heroes for advice during the coronavirus pandemic. Sesame Street appeared early on, with Elmo staging a virtual pandemic and CNN ‘s COVID-19 town hall . LeVar Burton reads to us. The science correspondent for the New York Times even answered children’s questions. But finally, the beloved team of healthy animals is coming to explain the impossible to our toddlers and preschoolers as Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood kicks off its fifth season with a special COVID-19 episode and new episodes for the week.
The season kicks off on August 17 with the performance “Daniel Tiger Neighborhood: Would You Like To Sing With Me?” »A special offer that will help solve the problems that young children face during a pandemic.
During the promotion, Daniel learns that the annual carnival next door has been canceled. He needs to deal with the missing people he loves, learn to keep himself and others healthy, and make the most of the extra time at home with his family. In fact, Daniel is now all of us.
Five new episodes of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood will also be released in the week of August 17, but King Friday will be quarantining the Pretense District pretty quickly: In these non-pandemic episodes, Daniel will have a replacement teacher for the first time, Prince Wednesday will spill some paint on the floor and there will be a broken kite, a fire drill, and a lot of time will be spent patiently waiting for something. Garden variety Daniel, if you like.
