Bring Sport Top Water Bottle for Next Demo
Water is probably one of the most important things you can bring to a protest or demonstration. Yes, it retains hydration, but it can also be used to cleanse minor wounds, cool down and wash away chemical irritants from the eyes. In this way, almost all water can be used, except for standing water from puddles, but water escaping from a sports water bottle is especially effective.
What better flushes things out of eyes and wounds – an aimless splash from a “regular” water bottle or a strong stream erupting from a sports upper? The choice is clear, comrades. Of course, if you have a real squirting eye wash bottle – as Beth recommends here – bring one, but a water bottle equipped with a sports top can do a dual function, moisturizing and flushing in equal measures (if needed) without the need for any additional equipment. A targeted, strong jet means you can flush and rinse more efficiently, leaving more to drink later (or for additional rinsing and cleaning). Just make sure your bottle has a cap that you can remove and reattach so that you can add water from a fountain or larger jug if needed. (Some of the more fragile ones can break, and a broken water bottle is a useless water bottle.)
