How to Know Where Your Favorite Movie Is Going
The streaming wars are already underway. Apple, NBC, HBO, Netflix, Hulu, Disney and many more are vying for our attention and vying for exclusive rights to our favorite shows and movies. So how do you know what’s streaming, where, when, and for how long? In the video above, I’ll go over some of the ways to keep track of the streams of your favorite shows and movies.
Just google
At the risk of sounding cocky, simply googling the name of the TV show or movie you’re looking for is often the quickest way to figure out where to stream it. Google’s algorithm is usually good at finding where you can rent, buy, or stream a piece of content. Finding Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man is available to stream on Hulu was an easy walk.

Searching “how to watch my hero Academia” made the widget appear, but this information was not completed; Crunchyroll and Funimation, two of the most popular anime streaming services, didn’t even show up.
JustWatch or Reelgood
The best way to find your favorite content is to use dedicated sites like JustWatch or Reelgood . Both of these sites track and catalog where movies and TV shows can be bought, rented, or streamed. You can create an account with any of the services and limit your search results to only the services you subscribe to. Both offer mobile apps as well.
Finding Spider-Man and My Hero Academia was easy on both sites, and both showed me several ways in which I could observe them. However, the data for “My Hero …” seemed out of date on JustWatch. It only showed two seasons of the show available to stream on Hulu and Funimation, but I know that’s not true. I just finished watching Season 4 a couple of weeks ago.
Of the two, I like Reelgood the most. The interface is much sleeker than JustWatch, the data looks more up-to-date ( all 4 seasons of My Hero Academia are cataloged correctly ), and I liked how I can keep track of shows I’ve already seen or would like to watch. …
