How to Watch Each Episode of “The Office” Played Through Slack

Office went off the air in 2013, the same year Slack launched to the general public. This means that, unfortunately, our heroes in Dunder-Mifflin were unable to experience the joy and pain of service. But what if they did it?

The enterprising guys at MSCHF have recreated every episode of the iconic Slack show , and you can tune in and watch the events of each day in real time.

Yes, you are joining a real Slack channel, not just recording it. This means that when you join, you will need to register for a Slack “Office” account, as you might have done for your real office.

The episodes take place in real time, so you need to tune in from 9am to 5pm to see the story unfold. The “general” channel is where most of the action takes place, but there are other channels you can dive into, such as Pranks, Party Planning, and Kitten Rating. Just like in your work Slack, you can scroll back to see what you missed and look for rooms for specific comments.

While you can technically post to the channels since you are a member, the site creators ask you not to do so and will remove any comments you post.

If you’re an Office fan, some episodes will also be easier to decipher than others. However, it’s a pretty impressive display. The site’s creators also told The Verge that it can take weeks for each episode to come out online, so it might be a fun thing to check out for a while.

And if you’re a fan of The Office , watch this video of the cast reenacting Jim and Pam’s wedding dance for John Krasinski’s virtual wedding ceremony this weekend. He did the ceremony because, like Jim and Pam, the couple got engaged at a gas station. The dance was broadcast this weekend as part of Krasinski’s Good News YouTube show.
