How to Access Facebook’s New Redesigned Dark Mode Desktop Site Now
In March, Facebook began rolling out its new redesigned desktop site that you could subscribe to as soon as it becomes available to you. The company announced on Friday that the rollout is complete and the new site is available to everyone around the world.
While it will eventually become everyone’s default, you can go ahead and proactively swap out the new design right now if you like, with the swap that comes with the new Dark Mode option.
I’m not going to lie – the redesign takes a little getting used to. However, it has been designed to make it easier for your eyes to see, which it does once you get used to it.
To access the new design right now, click the down arrow in the menu bar in the upper right corner of the page and select Switch to New Facebook.
Once you’re in, hit the same arrow and you’ll see a setting to turn dark mode on and off. You will also be given the option to set the default dark mode when you go through the initial prompts to switch to the new design.
If you do share and hate it, you can go back to old Facebook, at least for now, by clicking the top right arrow again and choosing “Switch to classic Facebook”.
That said, this dark mode is pretty good and well worth trying.
