Drink Coffee for a Week Right Away With Jerry Salz’s Controversial Java Program
Last month, Jerry Saltz , senior art criticfor New York Magazine and author of How To Become an Artist , went viral on Twitter after outlining his unconventional weekly coffee routine (and we know a thing or two about people who get upset over a cup of coffee ).
According to his thread of tweets, Saltz buys about 18 cups of coffee at a gas station right away, then puts them in the refrigerator and drinks for a week.
In the video above, the Pulitzer Prize winner details his method and defends what he calls his “passionate love” for gourmet coffee.
Here’s a step-by-step guide:
- Buy as much coffee as you like: half regular, half decaffeinated.
- Store coffee in the refrigerator until ready to drink.
- Blend 2 cups of coffee in a 7-11 converted double sip filled with ice.
- Consume through a reusable metal straw
So does this lead to good coffee? This we cannot say for sure. What can be said for sure is that Saltz is very passionate about and will continue to do all this time of social distancing, no matter what he is told. And we say: you understand, Jerry. It’s gone this far, so keep going!
