How to Get Your Free Copy of Assassin’s Creed II This Week

Ubisoft ‘s Assassin’s Creed II can show your age, but it’s free – it’s free.

The game was released in 2009 and since then there have been about seven different sequels released over five different time periods. This is okay, because every time I play Assassin’s Creed , I feel like I’m still missing out on some important piece of the plot that I haven’t gotten out of other games. Going back to the roots of the series is a great way to get to know what’s going on, especially if you’ve just started playing the last installment, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and doubly so, especially if it costs you nothing.

Ubisoft’s offer comes with the usual list of caveats. First, the free game is for Windows only – technically, Uplay is for Windows only, as you can purchase and download Assassin’s Creed II for macOS entirely elsewhere. Ah, Ubisoft.

This offer will also be valid for a short period of time. You will have until April 17th at 6:00 AM (your local time) to receive your free game, after which you will not get anything unless you “bought” it at a low price.

Fortunately, Ubisoft makes this process easy. Visit his website for the deal and log into your Uplay account. Click the “PC” button that appears and you get the game. That’s all.

You don’t need to download Assassin’s Creed II or play it right away, but now it will be in your library for as long as you want – wait for you to travel in your time travel machine (or Animus, or whatever. ) for virtual running, sneaking and stabbing. I’m a guy, but it ‘s still a fun title and worth exploring if you’ve already burned your way through some of the other Assassin games (even though we can all agree that Black Flag is still the best one, not is not it?)

And hey, if you’re really good, you can get past this in less than a full eight hour day:
