Get These Free Official Dungeons & Dragons Adventures Before They Disappear

When times are tough, adventuring with friends and rolling your natural 20s amid dangerous encounters is an exciting and boring way to escape the real world. At least that’s how my new group of Dungeons & Dragons adventurers applies to our freshman romp … wherever we go. (I had to take notes.)

While it’s easy enough to find a free online course on Dungeons & Dragons basics , choosing the right adventure is also critical. If this is your first time trying D&D, or you and your group are looking for fresh content to explore, make sure you check out theWizards of the Coast website this week and next: the company is releasing free adventures and resources that players can use every single day – even coloring pages if you’d rather illustrate the monster than fight it in the dungeon.

And don’t worry: it may already be Thursday, but you can still download everything the WOTC has offered so far. The digital goods bounty includes the following campaigns and other bonuses:

  • Disobedience in Phlan : “The Cult of the Dragon has come to Phlan, a lawless sanctuary on the Moonsea. Now, with no significant power to stop the cult, other power groups in the Realms – the Harpers, the Order of the Glove, the Emerald Enclave, the Alliance of Lords, and even the Zhentarim – must unite to prevent the cult from fulfilling its dark purpose to the city. Join the battle in any of five different missions to end the cult. “
  • Secrets of the Sokol fortress : “Decades have passed since the Sokol fortress was returned, and a small garrison was placed there along with a lighthouse to help the ships. Now this beacon has gone out and the garrison has disappeared. It is rumored in Phlan that something ancient was discovered in the area under the fortress, dating back to before the clerics of Tyr built a small fortress. Uncover the secrets of the Falcon Fortress. “
  • Shadows over the Moonsea : “Life on the Moonsea is not easy. Bandits, pirates and cruel lords rule the land, threatening those who honestly earn money there. Now a new misfortune roams the waters: a ghost ship crashes into small coastal villages, leaving its victims to whisper about the “eye of the dracolich”. Join the adventure and find out the truth about this threat! “
  • Meetings in Avernus : Meetings in Avernus is over 60 short meetings in the wastelands of Avernus, the River Styx and the city of Elturel. Keep the characters busy with these plot encounters that help flesh out the first layer of hell. Great for Baldur’s Gate: Descent into Avernus or any hellish adventure! “
  • Free pre-generated character sheets !
  • A wonderful Beholder to paint at home .

The WOTC did not say when it will stop offering free items; so far, they’ve recommended checking regularly until at least April 17th to collect your daily trophies. However, the company notes that some of the offers are limited in time, so it’s worth downloading everything right now, even if you’re already in the middle of a campaign (or two).

In addition, many other free D&D materials can be found elsewhere. This includes the free adventure The Lost Mine of Fandelwehr found on Roll20 as well as the Explorer’s Guide to Wildemount . Dig a little online and you’ll find lots of other creative content – free adventures , free maps for your campaigns (and free drawing tools ), free charactergenerators , and free desktop gaming apps ( for now ).

In other words, there really is no reason why you can’t start a super fun Dungeons & Dragons adventure with your friends right now, all for a low price. Have your Dungeon Master make some Lego miniatures; launch your favorite video chat program ; and roll well , champions.
