Disney Releases Frozen Short Film Series
Disney heard – and answered – parents’ prayers everywhere in March when they released Frozen 2 for Disney + three months earlier. It was a one-hour 43-minute bright spot in what we now know was only the beginning of a very long and very isolated pandemic. But Disney animators and actors are at home right now, like everyone else, so they decided to get together (figuratively speaking) to give us a little extra joy.
On this week Disney Animation tweeted that launches a new digital series “House of Olaf” free – Disney + membership is not required. The first episode of the series,Snow Fun, aired on Wednesday. Since then, two new episodes have been released (one per day): “Alone in the Woods ” and “Fishing “.
So far, every short film has been animated from home by Hiram Osmond and voiced from home by Josh Gad , the voice actor for Olaf in both Frozen films. They are short – about 40 seconds each – but they are incredibly adorable. And each of them can be viewed on the Walt Disney Animation Studios YouTube channel .
The company did not say how long the series will be in production, but tweeted that more episodes will be airing each day this week, so we have at least a couple more to look forward to.
