How to Watch the Broadway Shows Cats and Sweeney Todd at Home for Free
New York City closed all Broadway theaters last week due to the coronavirus pandemic, but you can still watch some of the most popular Broadway shows at home from the comfort of your couch.
BroadwayHD offers a free 7-day trial of its theater streaming service. Videos can be viewed on iOS, AppleTV, Android, Roku, Amazon Firestick, and the web.
The free trial is only valid for a week, so you will need to cancel it before then or you will be charged. The monthly membership to the service is $ 8.99 and the annual subscription is $ 99.99. However, in a world where we all stay close to home, 7 days is enough to watch a fairly significant number of musicals.
The musicals Brokeback Mountain, Cats, Miss Daisy, Curly Boots, Swan Lake, Peter Pan are available right now.
If you’re not interested in tuning in for a full show, the Actors Foundation also offers free daily shows from 2 pm to 8 pm Traditional Theater Time.
The show will feature stage and film stars, as well as live performances from their homes. Each star will perform a mix of their hits, as well as some additions to the songs.
