These Free Mobile Games Can Help You Cope With Home Fever

Everyone needs to be distracted now. You know it. I know it. Game developers know this too, and some of them have generously decided to make their iOS games temporarily free for anyone looking to have fun, to help them stay sane and distance themselves from society.

If you’ve never tried the Tower Defense Kingdom Rush series, one of the first favorites on iOS app stores, a treat awaits you. Developer Ironhide Studios has made two older recordings of the series, Kingdom Rush Origins and Kingdom Rush Frontiers, which are free to download on iOS and Android until March 22/23. (Games are also available on PC via Steam, but not free there.) Each version of Kingdom Rush has its own quirks – new towers to build and new enemies to stay out of – so if you’re digging Tower Defense you should have your hands busy for a while.

The Alto development team tweeted that two of its popular snowboard games, Alto’s Adventure and Alto’s Odyssey , are free on iOS and macOS for anyone looking to download them this week. (Games are also available on Android, where they were already free but show ads.)

In addition to giving away free games, there are also several studios selling games or offering free trials. Developer Vlambeer has slashed the price of its amazing Nuclear Throne by 90 percent on Steam – from $ 11.99 to $ 1.19 – until tomorrow, March 19th. If you’re looking for something a little more epic, Ubisoft is planning a weekend of free-to-play Assassin’s Creed Odyssey on PS4, Xbox One and PC from March 19-22. I always say, “Don’t look in your mouth for a free horse game.” Get in there and have a good time.
