Check Out Six Streaming Services for Free on This Site
Since you might just be working from home right now – if you’re lucky and your company is sane – why not give yourself a much needed productivity break with a little Netflix? Or Hulu? Or some HBO? Heck, why not watch all three? Of course, not right away; you don’t pay attention to it and don’t pay that much monthly subscription fee (I hope).
Instead, check out allthestreams.fm , a small creative project from MSCHF that will be consigned to oblivion by the end of this week under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
When you open the site, you’ll see a small slider that lets you switch between six different streaming services: Hulu, Disney +, Netflix, HBO Now, Amazon Prime Video, and Showtime. Click one of these and you’ll get a random feed with information about what the site has chosen to play – you don’t have to choose. It’s free (and of course illegal), but similar to the iPod Shuffle streaming mashups.
You will notice that you cannot pause the stream or adjust its volume in the main site window – it is located between the graphics of the recorder speakers. Instead, click the icon to expand it full screen, and you can pause the tape (but not rewind it), adjust the volume on your player, or drag the entire image into a new picture. -Image mode if your browser supports it.
I think I like this idea, as do the lawyers of the companies that own the six streaming services featured on the site. I can’t imagine that allthestreams.fm will last very long, but while it does, check it out if you’re unsure of what to look at next, or need a little distraction while working.
