Simplify Typing on Samsung Galaxy Keyboard by Adjusting Contrast
One of the great things about Android is that you have tons of different keyboards to choose from. While you may know how to replace the default keyboard with something new, you may not realize that your Samsung Galaxy phone also has a way to make this default keyboard a little easier to use.
This week GadgetHacks highlighted several hidden keyboard setting on Samsung phones, which allows you to change the contrast of your phone’s keyboard – a move that could make it easier to view and, in turn, make it easier to enter text.
To get to it, open the app that displays the keyboard and then select the gear icon at the top of the keyboard. You will be taken to the “Samsung Keyboard” menu. You can also get there by going to the Settings menu on your phone and selecting General Management, then Language & Input, On-Screen Keyboard and then Samsung Keyboard.
Once you find the menu you want, you’ll want to select Keyboard Layout and Feedback and then turn on High Contrast Keyboard. When you do, you can click the High Contrast Keyboard setting to display the four keyboard color options.
I am personally a fan of black backgrounds with white lettering, but you have four high contrast options to choose from. I find all of them exceptionally easier to type than the default parameters.
If you’re having trouble with the default keyboard, or just want to tweak your phone’s settings a bit, it’s definitely worth taking a look at.
