Buy a One-Way Ticket to the Southwest for As Little As $ 59.
In the New York Times, reporter Julie Weed described the difficulty of finding cheap airline tickets compared to airline software that changes ticket prices multiple times a day on behalf of the airline. The best conclusion? Due to price fluctuations, there is no single “right time” to purchase an airline ticket.
However, there can be one exception: airline sales. And right now, Southwest has another major clearance sale until May. This means that for as little as $ 59, you can fly from San Francisco to Burbank one way.
As with most airline sales, there are a few tricks here. First, you will need to be quite flexible in your travel dates, as some fare deals require you to depart on certain weekdays and avoid difficult travel days such as Friday and Sunday. Fares are non-refundable, which means you won’t be able to change or cancel your flight as easily as under existing airline policy.
Wondering where you can fly cheap? Below are a few notable sell-off deals:
- Boston – Baltimore: $ 59
- Burbank – San Francisco: $ 59
- El Paso to Phoenix: $ 59
- Dallas – Little Rock: $ 69
- Chicago – Cincinnati: $ 78
For the rest of the deals, check out the Southwest website and make sure to reserve by midnight PST Thursday. Trying not to sit next to an inconsolable baby? We have several ideas .
