Find IMEI of Lost Android Phone in Google Toolbar

So you left your phone at the bar last night. Or maybe it was pulled out of your bag as you walked through a busy crowd. In any case, now you are deprived of your phone, cut off from the world and frustrated. What to do?

Fortunately, having your unique International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number will allow you to blacklist a lost (or stolen) phone with your carrier, as well as help law enforcement to confirm that the found phone really belongs to you.

You can find your phone’s IMEI on the device itself, on the original packaging, in documents or contracts with your carrier, but none of these options are suitable if your phone is lost (obviously), and the box and documents cannot be found anywhere either. …

But don’t worry. If you are an Android user, the IMEIs for linked devices are stored in your Google account. Here’s how to find them.

  1. Go to ” Find my device” . You may need to sign in to your Google account.
  2. Locate the missing Android phone in the list on the left.
  3. Click the “i” icon next to this device. IMEI should be listed in the pop-up window.

As a bonus, you can use the same screen “Find my device” to actually find your phone if it is on, you are logged into the system, connected to a data or Wi-Fi, and includes location services and the “Find my device. ” But if all these boxes are unchecked, at least you have an IMEI.

And don’t forget about all the other important security features you must set up on your phone before you lose it.
