Avoid Flight Delays Due to a Winter Storm This Weekend by Changing Your Flight for Free
If you are traveling this weekend to or across the Great Lakes, or Plains, or across, you may need to consider changing your ticket.
A massive winter storm, dubbed Isaiah by the media, will hit the Great Lakes, New England and the Plains this weekend. The storm is expected to bring with it a ton of snow, ice and freezing rain. You know, what gets in the way of your travel plans.
Most airlines still operate in these areas, so if you go to the airport there is a chance that you will be able to catch that flight. Depending on where you are, there is also a fairly high chance that your flight could be delayed or canceled.
If your travel plans are flexible, then most major US carriers currently offer travel waiver to the affected areas. With a waiver, you can change your flight free of charge. This way, you can skip spending the day at the airport due to delays and instead arrive when your flight is likely to depart and will be on time.
