The Best Way to Store Baby Bath Toys

Chances are, if you have young children, you also have a wide range of rubber bath toys in various stages of mold infestation. We’ve already told you how to clean them (and even how to prevent mold in the first place), but when they are clean, where do you store them?

Don’t put them in the closet, because tomorrow night you will be taking them out again. Do not leave them lying in the bathtub – this way they will never know the dry moment. But throwing a pile into the bucket in the corner isn’t the best way to let them dry either. A home renovation blogger came up with the perfect solution: store them in a hanging multi-tiered fruit basket.

She found one on Goodwill, but if you don’t stumble upon a used cart, there are tons of options on Amazon, including the one pictured above .

A hanging fruit basket should be used to store toys because:

1. The hook is ideal for the shower bar.

2. The wire basket allows air to circulate around the toys as they dry.

3. It is lightweight and easy to move around the room as needed.

While this should help the toys dry faster, you will still need to clean them periodically because water will still remain inside. But at least they will now get up and get out of the way while the mold grows.
