This Free Disney + Mac App Will Resume Showing Your Shows As Soon As You Start It
macOS: Many people like Baby Yoda Disney Plus. So why do you have to carry out the tedious task of loading a browser, opening a service, and clicking to watch the latest episode of The Mandalorian ? steps on macOS. And if you need to get on a plane before you finish a show or movie, this app is perfect for getting right back to where you were – no extra clicks.
Grab the Clicker for Disney + app to get started – free at the time of this writing, but will likely rise to $ 5 at some point. Honestly, I probably wouldn’t pay $ 5 to save a few clicks, but I would use this app completely free of charge.
And I use the phrase “app” loosely, as this is not some unofficial player for Disney Plus per se; it essentially opens the website in a window that doesn’t look like a regular browser, with a few fun additions like the ability to go straight to Disney + from its dock without having to fiddle with a browser shortcut.
This is not all. From its settings menu, you can also set Clicker for Disney + to always stay at the top of other apps – for a little picture-in-picture viewing – or to have the app resume what you were watching as soon as you load it. I love this last part as you can reload exactly what you were watching (and where) with one click.
Clicker for Disney + also comes with Touch Bar controls to skip a movie or TV show, turn subtitles on and off, and quickly move videos to a corner of your desktop. If you’re a big fan of the Touch Bar, you’ll love these little features too. For everyone else, being able to download their favorite Disney Plus content even faster is worth the free installation.
I understand that you might be wary of entering your login credentials for an app you don’t know anything about. I did that too, especially since the Disney Plus password is tied to other Disney services you can use. Since Disney does not offer any kind of two-factor authentication for your account, I caution you to keep a close eye on your activities at Disney. If anything seems suspicious in connection with any activity taking place on any of your Disney services, please change your password immediately or contact Disney for assistance.
