Turn Leftover Filling Into Crispy Cheese Waffles
Thanksgiving leftovers is a recipe genre in its own right, and while I love sandwiches, it’s a good idea to have other, slightly more innovative strategies ready. This is especially true if you want to eat leftover food for breakfast.
The waffle filling requires nothing but leftover filling and waffle iron, but my filled waffles also require bacon (chunks can be used) and cheese. (Cheddar crunches around the edges of the waffle, which is quite delicious.) Sprinkle savory whipped cream on top, seasoned with whatever herbs you have, and you hardly recognize yesterday’s wet bread.
