How to Watch Today’s Presidential Debate From Democrats

Once again, it’s time for another Democratic presidential debate in the 2020 race. In this round, we will witness just 10 candidates coming onto the stage in Atlanta, Georgia, representing a slowly dwindling pool of eligible presidential candidates (though it remains to be seen how Deval Patrick and Michael Bloomberg will influence further debate).

The current poll leaders such as Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg and Kamala Harris will take the stage. Corey Booker, Amy Klobuchar, Tulsi Gabbard, Tom Steyer and Andrew Young are also due to appear. (Candidates, meanwhile, including Julian Castro, John Delaney, and Marianne Williamson, did not qualify.)

The two-hour debate is likely to focus heavily on firearms control reform issues, given the recent high school shootings in Santa Clarita, California . Medicare For All will also be in the spotlight as Elizabeth Warren recently announced her plan to pay for public health care.

If you want to watch the action unfold, MSNBC and the Washington Post – who are co-organizing the event – will be streaming the debate live on their websites at 9:00 pm ET. This is the fifth debate in the race so far and is likely to be an important factor in determining who ultimately qualifies for the sixth and final debates in 2019, which will take place in Los Angeles.
