Save Your Last Business Card
You never want to be the person running out of business cards at a networking event. You end up scribbling your email address on a piece of paper, or swearing that you remember your new friend’s name, or at least his company and job title, and let’s be honest – you won’t. Well, here’s a tip: Next time you run out of business cards, save the last one.
What’s good about it? Well, this is 2019, and everyone has a camera in their pocket. Just say, “This is my last, but why don’t you take a picture?” To be honest, I think I’d rather go home from a conference with a film of film full of photographs of people’s business cards than a stack of real scraps of paper that I have to go through.
This tiny hacker was inspired by the fact that I ran out of business cards at an event last month and by this tweet:
I hail a future in which a calling card is something we all have (you can even take a picture of your new buddy’s conference badge, which is kind of the same). But until then, just save your last card. You can even leave the house with one, if you dare, lie and say you ran away.
