How to Get 1,300 New Fonts for Your IPhone and IPad
If you’ve wanted to freshen up your iPhone or iPad a little for a while, a new font could potentially be a way to do just that. This week, Adobe Creative Cloud provided 1,300 fonts for free for anyone who downloads the Creative Cloud app from the App Store .
After installing and launching the application, you will be able to view all the fonts available through Adobe for your device. When you find one you like, you can install it and then use it in any iOS 13.1 app that supports custom font APIs.
While everyone has access to these 1,300 fonts, if you’re an Adobe Creative Cloud subscriber, you do have access to 17,000. A few more.
Your custom font will only be available in applications that support the Custom Fonts API. If you just want to give it a try, Mail, Pages, and Keynote are great places to start.
For mail, you can change the font by first clicking the angle bracket (<) at the top right of the page and then clicking the “Aa” icon. From there, you will be presented with all the font options, including the new one you just selected.
And if you ever forget which fonts you downloaded (or want to do a little cleanup), you can remove the fonts by going to Settings on your iPhone, then General, and then Fonts. From there, you will see all the fonts you have installed on your device. Click on one of them to view more information about it or remove it from your phone if you no longer see that you are using it.
