How to Keep a Pumpkin Lantern
Do you know what’s more terrifying than goblins and ghouls? MOLD and MOUSE living in the pumpkin on the porch.
While we’ve already covered our favorite pumpkin carving tips , getting your orange friend to make it through to All Saints Day is often more of a challenge.
In the video above, we’ll show you how to keep your lantern damp (by applying petroleum jelly), how to repel mold and pests (by spraying with a bleach solution), and how to revive a shriveled pumpkin (by soaking in water).
BONUS: If you don’t even have time to carve a pumpkin, just spread the uncut sample in WD-40. It will create a protective barrier that repels water and will stay fresh and shiny for longer. Did I say brilliant? I mean CREEPY!
