The Best Interval Workouts You Can Do in Your Living Room
We’re exploring different types of interval training this month , but running and rowing aren’t the only ways to do cardio. Short intervals are good for home workouts.
To create your daily routine, first select a timeline. One minute of hard with one minute of rest is pretty reliable; you will not find yourself cheating on tricky parts or rushing during rest periods. (There are other options , of course.)
Then choose a few moves that will make you breathless. Running in place with high knees is a classic; the same can be said for fast side-to-side lunges, jumps, and more. The idea is not to work your muscles so hard that you get tired and sore, but to just force yourself to breathe hard. Burpee may work well for some, but too tedious for others. You yourself know! Feel free to swap the easier movement if you’ve picked something you can’t keep up with.
