Learn How to Write Python Code Using Free Microsoft Classes
I’ve always wanted to learn how to program. I would like to at least learn enough programming language to do some basic automation – or come up with some nifty ways to control the different sets of LED lighting I have.
While there are many options (free and paid) that you can use to get started encoding, Microsoft is adding another big batch of free tutorial videos to the bunch. The company has uploaded a 44-part series (!) To YouTube, titled ” Python for Beginners, ” which you can watch to familiarize yourself with the programming language.
Each video is between three and ten minutes long, which is perfect for watching when you’re on a conference call (wish you had a better job), having lunch, or feeling like putting off a little bit. Because they are so easy to digest, they can be reviewed multiple times if you don’t quite understand the concept that Microsoft is trying to share. (And you can always ask questions in the YouTube comments, as long as you don’t mind sorting out the typical YouTube comment clutter.)
Microsoft also has a separate GitHub page that you can visit if you need more help, instructions, or code samples for the game. While programming may seem a little out of the ordinary to someone who has never tried it before, you may well learn the basics – you just have to take the time to try it.
