Where to Get an Out-of-Warranty IOS Device Fixed
Apple users with an out-of-warranty iPhone or iPad in need of repair now have a lot more options available to them through the company’s recently expanded Independent Repair Program.
Previously, Apple users had to service their gadgets either at their local Apple Store or with an Apple Approved Service Provider (AASP). While Apple has expanded many of these offices in recent months, including all Best Buy stores in the US, third-party companies can apply to participate in the Independent Repair Service Provider (IRP) program, which gives them access to Apple’s technical training on diagnostics. tools and special delivery of original parts directly from Apple. Likewise, Independent Service Providers can apply for the Self-Service Assistance Program (SSA), which offers the same benefits as the Independent RepairsProvider program, but allows companies to service only iOS devices that they directly own or lease. Companies and independent technicians can apply to participate in the IRP or SSA programs online .
While customers cannot apply for repairs on their own, both programs make it easier for companies to obtain official Apple repair certification, which means more companies will be able to repair our broken Macs, iPhones, and other Apple devices. Here’s how to find options available near you:
- Go to the Apple Support page to find Apple-certified repair locations near you .
- Select your device and then your problem.

- Sign in with your Apple ID
- Use the search bar to find repair locations near you. All certified repair options will be displayed on the map.
