Get up to $ 45,000 in Free Developer Tools With the Github Student Developer Pack
GitHub just announced the 2019 GitHub Student Developer Pack, and if you’re a student interested in becoming a developer, it’s worth taking a look at.
At a basic level, students who subscribe to the package receive GitHub Pro for free while in school. They also get access to big discounts from a range of GitHub partners. You are unlikely to take advantage of every deal on offer, but if you did, you would save $ 45,000 in total.
The partners are people like Microsoft Azure, Stripe, Datadog, and DigitalOcean. The idea is to provide students with access to tools they may encounter in the workplace while they are still in school. In some cases, you get access to the product completely free, in others, you get things like free account upgrades or Pro accounts.
GitHub added 21 new partners this year, so if you’ve looked at the service in the past, it probably has something (or somewhat) new to you. Here’s a rundown from GitHub of all the companies that offer benefits with the GitHub Student Developer Pack and what they do.
