You don’t have to be a big-C food writer to write great about food; enthusiasm for the subject and the ability to speak is sufficient. Case in point: Bestselling author Chuck Wendig’s annual heirloom reviews are an extremely entertaining and thoroughly educational game in the world of apples.
“It’s a woman’s apple, not a fucking apple.” To be honest, this is the best apple sentence I’ve ever read and I envy not writing it.
