What’s the Simplest Life Skill You’ve Never Learned?
Twitter users recently confessed to the simplest things they’ve never learned : inflate a balloon, whistle, wink, snap your fingers. Some people cannot tie their shoes or unscrew a cap without uttering a mnemonic. Some cannot tell the time. Some might get lost in the hallway. We all missed a day at basic life skills school. So what can everyone but you do?
I don’t want to hear “I cannot sleep,” “I cannot feel confident,” or “I cannot find true love.” I don’t want to hear that you can’t really whistle loudly with two fingers in your mouth. Only ten people can do this. I want this really embarrassing “how I’m still alive”, these “wolf raised”, “kindergarten failed” gaps in your skill set. Tell me you can’t ride a bike. Tell me you can’t cook an egg. Use the burner account and give me your humiliating confession of Derek Zulander.
At Lifehacker’s office, our social media editor Tim is tying his shoes using the rabbit ears method, deputy editor Alice can’t whistle, and I can’t blow gum. Can you make it worse?
